Stop 5

Native Americans may have taken days to accomplish a successful hunt. Some braves would scout the area for nearby buffalo. Buffalo would stay in the area because of the availabilty of water from the Milk River. The braves would gradually and repeatedly spook the buffalo herd toward the cliff. This process may have taken days to complete. Once the buffalo were very near the cliff the braves would attempt to stampede the buffalo herd over the cliff.
Native Americans would stand just below the crest of the hill with bows and arrows and shoot some of the buffalo as they came over.
