Wahkpa Chu'gn Brick Mural
The H. Earl Clack Museum Foundation Board has commissioned internationally known artist, Jim Marshall to design and build a brick mural depicting the Wahkpa Chu'gn Buffalo Jump. Marshall murals are a unique work of art and designed to focus attention on our local historic attractions. This quality sculpture will encourage tourists to spend time exploring Havre's remarkable history.

The Mural will be 12' x 10' and will be placed on the hill east of Murphy's Pub overlooking the city of Havre. The mural will be highly visible and illuminated during evening hours. A small park area with benches will surround the mural.

A Marshall Mural will be a striking addition to Havre's landscape. This mural will be maintenance free and will retain it's natural state for generations to come. The estimated completion date for this project is summer of 2010.

“Black polished granite tiles” will be sold to finance this mural. The donors name will be etched and mounted on the back of the mural. Tiles are available in 4 price ranges (spaces count as characters):

- $50, 2”x8”, 1 line, 18 characters / line

- $100, 4”x8”, 3 lines, 18 characters / line

- $250, 8”x8”, 4 lines, 18 characters / line

- $500, 8”x16”, 5 lines, 32 characters / line

Jim Marshall has advised us there will be room for a limited number of tiles on the front of the mural as well. These names will be mounted on 8” x 16” tiles. There are a limited number of these tiles available and they will require a larger donation. For further information please contact the people listed below.
